There are many ways families can support the school! Please consider donating by sharing your time and expertise. Our classroom volunteers are essential in supporting our teachers with Friday Folders, reading groups, classroom projects, Greenhouse “Green Team” and field trips. There are many opportunities for family members to engage and enhance the classroom experience for your children! 

Other opportunities to contribute include our Bergen Banner sponsorship program, Hoops for Hearts, Original Works, Scholastic Book Fairs, Spirit Gear and Corporate Donation matching.

Bergen Elementary PTA

The Bergen Elementary PTA is very involved and exceptionally strong. This welcoming and inclusive team plans functions and events throughout the year. Bergen’s PTA facilitates many events beyond fundraising. These include new family get togethers, Back to School Party, Trunk and Treat, Speak to be “Herd”, Reflections Art Show, Science Fair, 5th Grade Spaghetti Dinner, among many others. The PTA is actively involved in supporting our teachers and staff with appreciation events throughout the year. In addition, the PTA provides families with a weekly newsletter, Bergen Blast, school supply pre-ordering services and Yearbook.

The PTA is essential in our fundraising endeavors. The three main events hosted by the PTA are the Buffalo Stampede, Golf Tournament, and the Spring Auction. In the past few years, through these events, the PTA has successfully raised funds to provide students with 1:1 Technology, (prior to Jeffco’s initiative), outdoor bleachers, a climbing wall, kilns for art, musical instruments, smartboards, document cameras, a Greenhouse and funding a new Outdoor Learning Center at Bergen Elementary. The PTA also provides funding each year for school operational costs and helps support funding for paraprofessionals as well.
